The Push Tray sorter has two variants: the Single Push Tray and the Twin Push Tray. The Twin Push Tray sorter offers even more flexibility and capacity. Both are high-throughput single-item sorters. All our sorting solutions can be seamlessly integrated with any existing WMS. The Push Tray sorter is already in use in 13 countries worldwide by leading names in the fashion industry, parcel & post, 3PL, and e-commerce. It’s safe to say that the Push Tray sorter is the winner in the logistics arena. Depending on the configuration, capacity ranges from 8,800 to 24,000 units per hour.
How Does a Push Tray Sorter Work?
The Push Tray sorter is a loop sorter with a dual-sided ejection system. Each tray features a slider positioned between two raised edges. By moving the slider to the left or right, items are automatically ejected into a predetermined exit. This allows each tray to eject items in two directions, effectively doubling the number of exits within a compact footprint.
Thanks to the precise coordination of all moving parts, the system prevents packaging materials from causing blockages. Polybags, packaging films, and other thin materials pass through smoothly without disruption.

The Push Tray is a loop sorter. Items enter at Point A and are pushed out at the desired Point B. TheTwin Push Tray can either sort two smaller items or one larger/heavier item. Items are enclosed on three sides for secure handling.
Each carrier has a tray with one or two sliders, which feature raised edges that act as a push bar. The anti-slip mat inside the tray moves in both directions, pushing the item onto a chute, where it falls into a box, bag, or container. This bidirectional ejection doubles the number of exits within the same footprint.
Regular maintenance is simple to perform in-house. This includes:
- Regular inspection of trays and running gear
- Checking sensors and scanners
